Get in the festive mood with readings, carols, and performances at our annual Christmas Concert at Oldham Parish Church.
Thank you so much for supporting our Christmas Concert on Thursday 11th December 2025!
Oldham Parish Church was alive with the sound of music as Dr Kershaw’s’ annual Christmas concert got people in the festive spirit.
The packed pews enjoyed performances from Dr Kershaw’s Hospice Choir, Hope Singers and Crompton House School Woodwind Ensemble.
Students from the Brian Clarke Church of England Academy treated attendees to a poetry recital and rousing renditions of ‘Sing Noel’ and ‘When Christmas Comes to Town’.
The audience joined in with classic carols and the festive tradition of ‘The Twelve Hospice Days of Christmas’. This fun take on the popular song sees the lyrics replaced with things that can be found around the Hospice, including gardeners and cups of tea.
TV actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson also took to the stage to read a humorous poem.
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Christmas Concert raised over over £2,600, which will enable us to provide dedicated care and support to so many patients across the borough of Oldham.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our event sponsor, Diodes Incorporated as well as Dr Kershaw’s Choir, Hope Singers, Next Gen, Brian Clarke Academy Choir Poet Laureates, Crompton House Woodwind Ensemble, Oldham Parish Church, Oldham Community Radio, Kimberley Hart-Simpson and Dr Kershaw’s Hospice staff and volunteers.
Thank you all for your incredible support of our Christmas Concert and Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
