Rose to Remember

Thank you for supporting Rose to Remember 2025 which raised over £15,000 for patient care!

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Rose to Remember Appeal and joined us at our special remembrance service on Sunday 29th June.

It was truly moving to see our Hospice gardens filled with hundreds of people coming together to remember their loved ones and show their support for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. The day was filled with warmth, smiles and a genuine sense of community, with many taking time to pause and reflect during our beautiful remembrance service, which featured incredible performances from Dr Kershaw’s Choir and Brian Clarke Academy along with special contributions from our celebrant David Whaley, and our Hospice Team. Guests also enjoyed refreshments in Café K and a fantastic raffle along with the chance to peruse stalls.

Thank you to our volunteers who supported the event, our wonderful celebrant David Whaley, Dr Kershaw’s Choir and Brian Clarke Academy for their incredible performances, GJ Engineering Group of Royton for supplying our beautiful roses, the NatWest Team for their brilliant corporate volunteering support before the event and The Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Eddie Moores for his support on the day.

About Rose to Remember

Each year, our Rose to Remember Appeal gives supporters the opportunity to celebrate and honour the lives of loved ones with a beautifully handcrafted metal rose.

This year’s rose — a stunning teal-coloured design, crafted locally by G & J Logistics in Royton — was personalised with a leaf bearing each dedication. The roses are designed to be cherished forever, with a different colour each year, helping you create a lasting memory garden of your own.

If you haven’t yet collected your teal rose, you can do so from our Hospice Reception during opening hours. Alternatively, if you are unable to visit, we can post your rose to you for £6.50 P&P – please contact our team to arrange.
