We offer free furniture collection for items donated to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Our friendly Furniture Hub Team can collect sofas, tables, beds and more! Contact us for guidance.
Is your donation saleable?
All of the funds raised from your donated furniture goes towards looking after our patients. To cover the cost of collection, we are unable to accept damaged items.
This could include:
- Large scratches and chipped paint
- Stains
- Missing legs, screws, shelves, handles or hinges
- Colour fade and discolouration
- Loose joints
- Water damage
- Missing fire labels

Are your fire labels attached?
To keep our customers safe, all upholstered furniture must include the original fire safety labels.
Fire labels show that the items have passed the relevant fire safety checks. They are often found underneath sofas and chairs, or inside cushion covers.
We have to meet legal and health and safety requirements, so all donations are subject to final checks on the day by our collection team.
Our van crew is unable to accept items which cannot be sold.
To make sure your item is suitable, complete our furniture donation form.
