Summer Fayre

Enjoy an afternoon of family fun at our Summer Fayre. There is plenty to enjoy for children and adults alike.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 Summer Fayre. Hundreds of supporters joined us for a family-friendly afternoon of stalls, food, games and entertainment to raise over £7,100 for Oldham’s only hospice.

The fun-filled afternoon on Sunday 12 July was opened by none other than Peter Rabbit and our beloved mascot, Hartley! A procession of bagpipers from the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band led the way, followed by a crowd of supporters ready to enjoy their day.

Along with a bouncy castle, face painting, games, police and a fire engine, there was plenty of live entertainment. The New World Dance Company wowed the audience with songs from The Wizard of Oz, while the TBK Taekwondo Black Belt School showed off their moves.

We were also thrilled to welcome back our friends from the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Oldham Temple, who performed a spectacular drumming and dancing routine.

After enjoying an ice cream or tasty treats from our food and drink vendors, guests browsed stalls from local sellers, including our cherished Kershaw’s Krafties. They could also try their luck on our raffle or tombola.

By supporting our Hospice, everyone who attended has made a real difference to our patients and their loved ones. All of the Dr Kershaw’s team – including Hartley – are very grateful.
