Make a Will Make a Difference

Dr Kershaw’s Make a Will Make a Difference is your opportunity to set out your wishes, making sure your loved ones are provided for financially.

Our partner solicitors have kindly donated their expertise to help you write your Will. Instead of paying their usual fee, they invite you to make a suggested donation to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, helping to fund specialised care and support for patients and families.

Making your Will

You can write or update your Will in return for a suggested donation of £150 for a Simple Individual Will or £200 for a Simple Mirror Will for a couple. This provides a substantial saving on the standard fees for these services.

Making your Will is your way of telling everyone what should happen to your money, possessions and even who should care for your children or pets. By doing so via Make a Will Make a Difference, you will be providing vital support to our patients and their families at a time when they need us the most.

We rely heavily upon our wonderful community with donations in the form of Legacies. If you would like to participate, there is no obligation to leave a Legacy in your Will. If you choose to do so, you can be assured your gift will stand as a lasting reminder of your generosity.

Choose your solicitor

Remembering Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will is a wonderful way to help continue the vital work that Dr Kershaw’s does.

There is no obligation to leave a gift in your Will during Will Month, but even a small gift can have a big impact on the future of our Hospice. We understand that your family and friends come first, but leaving just 1% of your estate to us can help ensure we continue to provide exceptional care and support to our community for years to come. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a lasting difference.

There can also be tax benefits to leaving a gift in your Will which you can read more about on our Leaving a gift in your Will page. Your solicitor will be able to provide you with expert advice in this area.

Working at the Hospice and seeing our Will offering prompted us to finally get our Wills sorted. Make a Will Make a Difference is a great initiative and I would encourage others to think about taking part and making their Will. It’s not at the top of everyone’s priority list but it should be.
