Course Details
A comprehensive and interactive training session which encompasses theory and practical skills in syringe driver use and management.
Who is This Course for?
All trained nurses who may be expected to utilise syringe drivers within their practice.
What Will the Course Cover?
- Device training for the BD Bodyguard T syringe pumps
- Commonly used drugs at the end-of-life
- Conversion from syringe drivers to other routes
- Saf-T sub-cutaneous cannulae insertion and management
Pre-Course Requirements
Some knowledge of or experience in using syringe drivers is desirable but not essential.
How Will the Course be Taught?
Face-to-face delivery in a group, involving some group work or work in pairs, utilising our state-of-the-art simulation mannequin to demonstrate and practise clinical skills.
