Supporting a Healthy Bereavement

Course Details

Session 1 will look at ways to support families, carers and other significant people immediately prior to a death, and in the immediate aftermath. We will look at compassionate ways to maximise resources and effectiveness even in a busy clinical context.

Session 2 will look at strategies to set up a healthy bereavement in the longer term, even when long-term involvement with bereaved people may be limited.

Both sessions are delivered face-to-face in a group incorporating an element of group work.
