Course Details
To be able to recognise the benefits of an effective appraisal process is valuable to all employees and managers. This session will help both appraisee and appraisers plan, prepare and carry out good conversations in your review meeting, using current Hospice Appraisal documents.
Who is This Course for?
Anyone receiving an appraisal (appraisee) and definitely anyone carrying out appraisals for the first time, or wanting to refresh their knowledge if they haven’t accessed an update in a while.
What Will the Course Cover?
- Understanding the difference between appraisal and feedback
- The benefits of appraisal and the “costs” of not doing appraisals and holding regular one-to-one meetings
- The purpose of feedback
- Tips for giving feedback
- Familiarising yourself with the Hospice Appraisal documents
- How to set clear and appropriate objectives
- A reminder of the keys skills needed in carrying out an Appraisal Meeting
Pre-Course Requirements
None, but if you have been on the receiving end of an appraisal or been in a position to carry out a review meeting then that’s a great help.
