Course Details

An overview of the disease process of Dementia. A variety of diagnoses will be explored, giving reference to managing behaviours and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for those living with Dementia.

Who is This Course for?

All staff caring for patients living with Dementia.

What Will the Course Cover?

  • A brief overview of diagnosis, disease progression and the different types of Dementia
  • Suggestions of therapeutic activities that may provide stimulation and promote the wellbeing of those with Dementia
  • Signposting to Dementia services within the locality

Pre-Course Requirements

None.

How Will the Course be Taught?

Face-to-face delivery in a group, involving some group work or work in pairs.
