Bowel Management Awareness

Course Details

An interactive and participatory course to provide the learner with the necessary knowledge and skills in the area of bowel anatomy and physiology, the common causes of bowel disruption and the management of constipation and diarrhoea.

Suppository and enema administration skills will be achieved by a demonstration and practise using our state-of-the-art, skills simulation mannequin to instil confidence in personal ability within the safety of the classroom.

Who is This Course for?

Trained nurses and care staff who are required to administer PR medication as part of their job role.

  • Enema administration
  • Suppository administration
  • Non-Pharmaceutical interventions

A requirement to deliver PR medication as part of your job role.

How Will the Course be Taught?

Face-to-face delivery in a group, involving some group work or work in pairs, utilising our state-of-the-art simulation mannequin to demonstrate and practise clinical skills.
