Will Month

Dr Kershaw’s Will Month is your opportunity to set out your wishes, making sure your loved ones are provided for financially; protecting your partner if you are unmarried or setting out who will look after your children or even your pets.

During Will Month, selected local solicitors offer to help you write your Will, giving their expertise free of charge, asking instead that you make a difference by making a donation towards patient care at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Thank you to our Will Month 2025 supporters!

With your support our 2025 Will Month raised an incredible £4,500!

Your support really does mean so much and has enabled us to provide specialist care and support for our patients and their families across the local community.

Thank you to our supporting solicitors: Wrigley Claydon Solicitors, Garratts Solicitors, O’Donnell Solicitors and Kirkham Legal. Without them Will Month simply wouldn’t be possible.

Remembering Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will is a wonderful way to help continue the vital work that Dr Kershaw’s does.

There is no obligation to leave a gift in your Will during Will Month, but even a small gift can have a big impact on the future of our Hospice. We understand that your family and friends come first, but leaving just 1% of your estate to us can help ensure we continue to provide exceptional care and support to our community for years to come. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a lasting difference.

There can also be tax benefits to leaving a gift in your Will which you can read more about on our Leaving a gift in your Will page. Your solicitor will be able to provide you with expert advice in this area.

Will Month 2026

If you would like to be updated when we launch Dr Kershaw’s Will Month 2026, please contact our Fundraising Team.

Working at the Hospice and seeing Will Month has prompted us to finally get our Wills sorted. Will Month is a great initiative and I would encourage others to think about taking part and making their Will. It’s not at the top of everyone’s priority list but it should be.
