Here at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, we have 1 trained Nurse (RGN) caring for 6 palliative/end of life patients. With short shifts, twilight shifts or long days, and night shifts with regular breaks, free parking on site and a modern, state of the art in-patient unit, we provide a good work life balance to all our staff, including wellbeing activities and support.
The wellbeing of our staff is key at the Hospice and we provide, a food bank, subsidised meals, counsellor and complementary therapy as well as hold regular Nurse Forums and team social activities, across the Hospice.
- If you are a team player with a strong “can do” work ethic and have 12 months’ UK post registration work experience and ideally have worked previously within a care setting plus you can work flexibly across all hospice services and have a full UK driving licence – we are looking for you!

We are looking for an additional Band 5 Staff nurse to join our team, working up to 37.5 hours. Shift hours include bank holidays.
If you have the ability to:
- Provide a consistently high standard of palliative nursing care – keeping up the reputation of the Hospice
- Sensitively, care for patients and their families, respecting the privacy and dignity of the patient and their families at all times
- Plan, implement and evaluate patient care to formulate a comprehensive plan of care
- Communicate well both verbally with your patient and their family / loved ones and also have the ability to document clear and concise notes

Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (pro rata) dependent on experience
